Identical ad titles are not allowed

Lately we have been seeing more and more ads on the TLP site that are identical to other ads that have been placed by the same advertiser but in a different sub-category. As a general rule, this is not allowed on our site.

If you place multiple ads within the same "main" category from the "Browse Categories" list on our site, the ad titles must be different. If the ad titles are the same, then you must edit them so that each ad title is unique. The object here is to not have the same ad title appear back to back when viewed on our site. If you have not adhered to these rules, your ad will be denied and you will have to edit and resubmit your ad.

We feel that any website/directory that lists the same item several times in a row compromises the value of that website/directory. This practice also lessens the perceived professionalism of the advertiser. Would you call an advertiser that listed the same ad 20 times in a row? Wouldn't that make you think they were desperate and probably not doing very well?

Think about this: If a shopper knows absolutely nothing about your company, all they have to go by is what you put in print. Use your ad space wisely.

**This rule only applies to sub-categories. Identical ad titles may be listed ONLY if the main category you are posting in is different.

Thanks for your kind understanding.

Sincerely,
